Chalets/beach huts
The Sussex Coast is one of the UK’s most popular tourist destinations and is within easy commuter reach of London, at just 60 miles. The local area attracts visitors because of the beautiful scenery and interesting places to visit, like Arundel Castle, Regency Brighton and the South Downs – which has recently been granted National Park Status.

We have a range of over 90 plots to choose from, each plot will have a superb Seawood Chalet for you to call home for up to eight months of the year. On any weekend, holiday break or time you like, you can simply pop down to your own chalet and spend some time unwinding, enjoying the fresh sea air and taking in the pleasures.

The Golden Sands stands just between the second and primary sea defence walls at Lancing and is easily reached directly off the A259. The site size is over 2.4 ha (6 acres) with 325 metres of direct frontage onto the sea.

The chalets
We chose the design of the Seawood Chalets because we could find no better quality or value for money than this superb chalet. The Seawood offers comfort, beautiful design and excellent features. From the moment you walk through the patio or French doors into your chalet, the luxury is obvious.

The specially designed, custom made leather chaise longue and open kitchen dining area, along with the vaulted ceilings, produce a light and spacious feeling that contradicts its 12ft width.

An attractive fitted kitchen conceals an integrated fridge and washing machine or dishwasher. The oven, hob and chimney hood are all stainless steel and the low wall means the chef isn’t left out of the conversation.

The attention to detail is reflected in the modern chrome theme which is continued throughout your home. The main bedroom, of course, has en-suite facilities and the family shower room is just along the hall.

Should the temperature outside drop, the excellent central heating system and double glazing ensures you won’t even notice it. However long your stay, this delightful home will continue to exceed your expectations.

The 180 degree glazed frontage will show that both inside and out, your Seawood holiday home is truly spectacular.

The beach huts
Once the reserve of grandparents, beach huts have officially become hip and happening once more. Although their origins lie with the functional and wheeled Victorian 'bathing machines' - there to protect the modesty of their occupants and hide them from the prying eyes of other bathers – today’s beach huts are a ‘retro’ must have.

The slightly less uptight Edwardians, who enjoyed mixed bathing, had them de-wheeled and planted into the sand, simply to be used functionally as somewhere to change and hang up their many layers of clothing and undergarments. It was about then that people recognised how pretty and picturesque a line of beach huts was, particularly when the colours were pastel or bold and differed from the next. Their cute dimensions and candy-stripe colours seemed to epitomise the unique British seaside culture.

Though there are a few beach huts in Scotland and Wales, the majority can be found lining the coasts of the south and east coasts of England – Lancing being one of those locations. Here at the Golden Sands Caravan Park we are privileged to have 31 of these highly prized treasures. If you too would like to purchase a piece of history, a landmark building, a candy-striped delight and highly useful changing and leisure area – then do please get in touch or come visit to see for yourself.
